Come join the fun for the 2nd annual Cooking Contest running two special days of the Georgia Mountain Fair. Competition recipe categories, rules and ages are posted below. Each single competitor will be admitted free to the Georgia Mountain Fair with their covered dish in hand.

Rules:
Contest open to amateurs only. Professionals may not enter contest.
Ages:
Adult Division - 16 or older years of age
Youth Division - 9 - 16 years of age
Contestants may enter more than one recipe, but only one recipe can win.
Entries must be prepared at home and brought to the fair. Insulated containers are encouraged for transporting hot or cold dishes.

* Ingles Supermarket Contest - (Adult & Youth Divisions) - Must contain at least TWO DIFFERENT Laura Lynn or Harvest Farm products. (specify which ingredient(s) on Recipe Format Sheet)

Recipe must be typed or legibly written on Recipe Format sheet. (attached)
Directions for preparing the recipe must be clear; measurements should be in level cups, tablespoons, teaspoons or fractions thereof; also include pan size, cooking temperature, number of servings and any other pertinent information.
Entries must be entered by time specified for particular contest. Entries that are late will not be accepted.
Judging will be based on:
-Taste/Flavor (40%)
-Ease of Preparation (20%)
-Appearance (20%)
-Nutritional Value (15%)
-Originality of Recipe (5%)
Decision of the judges will be final.
Taxes on prizes are the responsibility of the winner.

Day of Contest:
Entries will be received at specified times. Late entries will not be accepted.
Judging begins promptly after entry deadline.

On the day of the contest, parking pass and admission into the fair will be allowed for the entered contestant. Stop by the Fair Office for ticket and parking pass.
It will not be the responsibility of the Fair to return serving containers.
