Sunday, July 17th
3:00p.m.
Orientation
Contestants meet at Anderson Music Hall at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds orientation. (Drive into grounds, stay straight towards camping area, the music hall is on the left, enter through security gate). Dress is cool and casual. Tapes or cd’s for optional talent contest should be brought to orientation so they can be forwarded to the GMF sound technician.
Saturday, July 23rd
10:00am.-2:30p.m.
Georgia Mountain Fair Parade
Contestants will ride on the Towns County Lions Club Float. The parade begins at 11:00a.m. We will meet in front of the GMF offices by 10:00a.m. and then be transported to the Bank of Hiawassee where the parade begins. Following the parade, we’ll visit Pioneer Village and the crafts.
Sunday, July 24th
Interview with Judges
4:00 p.m.
Interviews will be held at the Holiday Inn Express on Big Sky Dr. Interviews will be a 5-7 minute session with all 3 judges. Contestants should wear a conservative dress or suit. Remember! This is like having a job interview.

Sunday, July 24th
Dress Rehearsal
6:30-9:30 p.m.
Dress Rehearsal will be held in Anderson Music Hall at the Fairgrounds. Drive to the back of the music hall to park. This is your time to practice everything on stage. You must bring your shoes for the pageant.

Monday, July 25th
Miss Georgia Mountain Fair Pageant
7:00 p.m.
Contestants need to be back stage of Anderson Music Hall by 7:00. Please come with make-up and hair ready. Don’t forget your swimsuit, evening gown, shoes, and talent attire. The pageant begins at 8:00 p.m.

Miss Georgia Mountain Fair Awards
Winner: $200.00 & Merchandise Prizes
1st Runner-up: $100.00 2nd Runner-up: $50.00
Miss Congeniality: $35.00 Talent Winner: $75.00
All Contestants: $15.00 gas allotment (see Rules & Regulations)
Miss Georgia Mountain Fair Queen will represent the GMF and the Towns County Lions Club at the “Fairest of the Fairs Pageant” in January. If the MGMF queen is unable to participate in the state pageant, the first eligible runner-up will represent the Fair at the “Fairest of the Fairs”. All other duties expected of the winner by the Georgia Mountain Fair shall remain with the duly selected queen.
