2009 Miss Georgia Mountain Fair,
Miss Miranda Lee Carballo
Congratulations to Miranda Lee Carballo of Murphy,NC crowned the 2009 Miss Georgia Mountain Fair. Throughout the year Miranda will serve as an ambassador for the Georgia Mountain Fair during select events, including the 2010 Fairest of the Fair Pageant held in Atlanta,Ga.
Miranda is a senior at Hiwassee Dam High School were she is a member of the National Honor Society. Miranda was named MVP on her Varsity golf team as well as the swim team. She serves on the prom committee, is a member of the psychology club and part of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Explorer’s program. She has trained on the flute for 8 years. Miranda performed “The Star Spangled Banner” for the talent competition.
Miranda is the daughter of Mario & Patricia Carballo. She received $200 for the competition as well as a $500.00 gift certificate to the clothing boutique “The Loft” in Hiawassee, Ga. Miranda also was chosen by the contestants to be awarded.” Miss Congeniality”
